Most of these regions were ruled by Mughals hence significant Mughal influence is evident during this period in Jaipur & Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Themes from the life of nobles, lovers, and ladies were extensively used in the paintings.
The essence of this art form was to capture subtle romantic settings between lovers. These paintings were bold, bright colors of Rajasthani style however the delicacy of the Mughal style was also not abandoned.
